e brake problem

e brake problem

tryed to readjusted my e brake and still dosent work. there is no tension at all on the rear brakes.

The cable could be snapped.

well this is the thing if you pull up on the e brake. it will some what hold the driver side wheel some what will not hold the passenger wheel at all.

you have to remember your whole brake system is almost 20yrs old. Tight cable wont always lock up worn out calipers,rotors and pads. that might be something to think about, unless of course you already replaced those.

IIRC the cable splits in two at the rear axle. Maybe it broke after the split on the passenger side.

They are more than likely stretched. Its not a hard swap to do. I had to do it to mine, turns out that the part from the ebrake handle to the T is the stretched part.
