Thumbs down Ebay Turbo Manifolds!

As to be expected, the exhaust manifold purchased from ebay cracked at the welds. R.I.P. - May 2007 to October 2007 You shall not be missed.
It really didn't have any reason, other then cheap, to crack. My down pipe is equipped with a flex basket, and it's only holding the weight of the stock t25 turbo.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a reliable exhaust manifold for the ca18det that will last longer than six months?

Just got a reply from the guy I purchased the manifold from on ebay. Instructed me to return them to him for a refund. Believe I will be doing just that, I hope he stands by his word.

I just found a local guy who owns RLD-Fab who has been making decent manifolds for Honda's for some years now. I'm going to get in contact with him tomorrow to see what he's all about. His webpage is under construction http://www.rld-fab.com/products but I also found him on myspace http://www.myspace.com/b18c1cya We'll see what he can do.

tubular manifolds are prone to cracking, especially on lowered cars that scrape etc. This is a good opportunity to go top mount...

Got a little bored tonight, so I wanted to see what I had to do to get the flange to completely separate from the tubes.... which turned out not much. I did one full throttle pull from approx 25mph to 70mph, and that's all she wrote.

Even with the turbo completely separated from the engine, it was still drivable!

Should be a cinch to remove now that's its in two pieces too.
