Electric fan on stock KA?

As i was taking everything off of my KA i noticed that when i took out the radiator there was an electric fan attached?? however i never heard it running in the 5 years i have owned the car LOL
i never even knew it was there. i always thought its just the pulley fan that the KA came with.
does anyone else have a fan on their radiator?

I took out my mechanical fan and rewired the electric to run instead. Cleans up the engine bay quite a bit and you dont get that lag that you usually get when the mechanical would engage.

The fan is supposed to turn on when your car gets too hot or have th a/c on. Shouldn't just use that fan though, doubt it flows anywhere near enough air.

Well I spoke to a few of the pro and amatuer drivers at the drift show off and they suggested using the stock fan and the a/c condensor fan for extra cooling. alot of them supposedly alot of them had heating problems with electric fans.

I have rev'd my sr and ka into high rpms plenty of times never saw my needle move above mid range.

hmmmm.....this brings me to an interesting situation I've been trying to figure out. On occasion, while my t-stat sticks and the temp increases, I get an occasional vibration. about 3 seconds on, a few more off. What the hell is causing this?

Which fan turns on when the a/c is on or the car goes beyond normal temp?

Rudeboy -

What fan is that, where did you get it, and how much was it. Also, how'd you wire it up (when does it come on, or does it run all the time)?

TIA

i got it out of the junk yard.
i just wired it to a switch (but i blew the fuse so i ghetto it for now.)
it was free.
it runs untill i shut it off.
on cold days or nights i dont even bother. the car stays cool. even while drifting.
Redline Water Wetter

stanza fans are just about perfect, need to trim some off on each end, bend a few things, and wiggle em in there, but they are snug and they work great for cooling, i never have ne issues at all. I also have them wired to a temp sensor so they only run when they need to, which works out well

i can give ya pics if u want
