Electrical question..... what could it be?

Okay, I just bought a 91 240sx hatchback to start my project and I am in the process of fixing that little need to stuff first, the problem is my automatic seat belts don’t work the drivers side is stuck forward towards the hood and the passenger seatbelt is stuck back towards the rear of the car so im like okay fuses maybe? So I check them and the person who had the car before me must have been a cheap *** cause every time a fuse went out he put bubble gum rapper in its place. Even under the hood where that odd 75amp fuse is for the altinater, but yeah so I fixed that problem, still dint work, went to the salvage got a new motor assimble for the driver side, still didn’t work…what could it be to make both not work?????

Just take your car down to any nissan dealership they have to fix your seat belts for free because of the saftey laws. i had the same problem and they fixed it for free.

they sure as hell didn't do that for me in MO! they said like $90 for the motor part plus $100 for installation!

I think the lifetime free replacement is if the shoulder belt buckle should break. If the belt just won't automatically move back you can manually move it and still have safe seatbelts.
