Engine light goes on and off??? is it suppose to do that?

Couple days ago my engine light suddenly turned on so I pull the code from the ECU and it said my fuel injector leak and there is problem with the ignition wiring. First, I found that there is a loose wiring with my MSD so I fix that right away. Then I took the fuel injectors out and soak it into SeaFoam (just some cleaner stuff if you dont' know what it is). After that, I installed the injectors back in to it.

After driving about five miles my engine light turned off (so I was woohoo, I fix the problem) but today the engine light is on again.

The question is. If the problem is fixed, should the engine light go out by itself? so is my problem fixed or not?

Check your ECU.... I had this problem, and it was because my little screw (the one you use for diagnostics) was turned all the way in the wrong direction (my own fault....)

Anyway.... that seemed to fix it for me

Once you reset the ECU doesn't it take it a little while before it starts saying codes again?

Also are you getting a code 55?

maybe a couple key turns and a little driving, but it doesnt take very long. Yes, and code 55 would be a good thing (Im hoping 55 is the "nothing is wrong code" im thinking it is)
