Engine Mounts
Engine Mounts
I've been driving my 240 for a couple days now (put about 100 mi on it since I started driving it Friday). I noticed that when I let the compression of the engine slow me down the stick kicks a little bit. I asked my Dad about this (he's an experienced mechanic so I trust his word), and he said a couple of the engine mounts might be broken of they are just worn out.
I've read a couple of write ups on brands and how to do it, and it looks like something I wouldn't have too much of a problem doing. I have tons of options when it comes to brands too. What I'm curiouse about is anyones experience with doing this (both installation difficulty and how the engine feels after you made the swap).
I'm kinda broke at the moment (I hate bills
) so I do ave time before I can do this so I'll probably read lots more about it too.

www.projectnissan.com
has dope mounts, kazama style but 1/2 the price. which comes out to $100 for the engine mounts. as for the transmission mount, go nismo or for ultimate stiffness get a solid one made.

i got mine from project nissan also and as far as difficulty it depends on you and you experience with 240s and pullin the motor i did mine when i did my sr20 swap before i put the engine in but all you basically have to do is disconnect the mounts from the bottom, transmission mount, driveshaft and wiring and lift the engine and take the 14mm nut off of the back of the mount and pop the new ones on and reverse everything you did
