Finally... LSD

Man, what an exciting weekend (for the most part). I finally got an LSD and put it in my car. Thanks to Mike and Mickey at Garage works. Thanks for Mickey for sticking through my dumb newbie questions in the middle of the night and all. My and my friend got the LSD on Sunday and started working on the car at 10:30 at night, on sunday. We went on until 3:00 AM. I thought we would be done before 12, but naw. I didnt tell my dad that I was putting an LSD in my car, and he found out, and he told me that he WANTS ME OUT OF THE HOUSE! Ya, he ready to kicked me out. Man, I thought my life was over. We wouldve went all night, but we couldnt bcuz we didnt have the bit to take off the axels. So I spent the night there, restarted at 9 o' clock and finished putting in the LSD before 12. In the beginning, we were clueless, and we reached challenges along the way. But by the end we were experts (I wish). Now we are not afraid to get into it and do whatever our car needs. That was a great learning experience. Thanks again Mick.

Ya, I think my dad was serious about that. But the thing is that my dad gets heated, and gets into radical, outlandish ideas quickly. Even though they are nonsense, thus, quicking me out of the house... But anyway. I dont know much about the LSD. I know it was JDM because it came with axels that I needed which were 5 bolt, instead of my car's 6 bolt. So I have 5 bot axels connected to my LSD now, and I think the LSD came from an S13. I dont know the condition of it, or how many miles. But I know it is a one-way. Which is probably alright. I needed to switch the differential caps from my open diff, to the LSD. Because the JDM diff cap has 4 bolt thingies to go onto the car. My S14 has only 2. So we switched caps. The interesting thing is that we didnt have an alan wrench, so we couldnt replace the fluid in the bleeding method. Instead, when we were switching the caps, we poured out the fluid, and just lovely smouthered on the new all over the diff while the cap was off. Then we just put my cap back on (cleaned a little), and it was ready to go in the car. But I will tell you how much lack of knowledge we had about this. We didnt know which side axel was longer, so we accidentally started putting in the diff with the long axel on the driver's side. We figured out that it was wrong. So we had to take the diff back down, and switched the axels again, and then re-put the diff back up. The JDM diff also has different size holes that surround around rubber stoppers, that bolt up to the car vertically. So, I couldnt use my S14 rubber stoppers. But, using the mexican ingenuousness of mine, I sawed off a section of my stoppers to create my own JDM home-made stoppers. I didnt like the idea of metal being against metal. Nissan must have put rubber there for a reason. So I made my own. I told you we were gettin smart through the process. Were experts. LOLOLOLOL. I am sorry if thats too much. But I wanted a little bit of detail in there for the info of others. Just in case. PEACE

It feels way better over stock. It is much safer, and the car is much more controllable. Every 240 should have it, definitely. Now its time to get money so I can start Autocross.

We literally live less than 5 mins away from eachother. I have probably passed your house countless times. Passing Muir is the way for me to go to school. I go to school in La Canada. Ya, we should drive to the next meet together. And maybe we can chill at eachothers houses and have drift battles on Gran Tourismo 3. LOL. Man, but I think we definitely should chill. PEACE
