finally rode in a 240 w/ sr20det
Put it like this............
Get a runnin s13 for under $2500, KADE(T) the mother for another $2500. Spend your free time putting it together.
Fuc% forging the internals, run 8lbs of boost and keep it somewhat streetable and have some fun.
Sick and tired of seeing the lower displacements from Japan anyways.

Hey! I'm new to this site and I had a few questions too. Could I get some opinions, pros and cons on the rb motors, the sr motors...and even the stock motors? I'm trying to decide which route I'm gonna take with my 91 240.
you're going to have to search for that... everyone has different thoughts on engine swaps and what engine to put in... do some research and consider how much money yuou want to spend, how reliable you want it, what kind of power you're looking for, ect...

They break track records of the RB and the SR.........
Well i've got some quotes on both motors and I might can get the rb for close to what the sr costs. It will be a daily driver, but I want it to be able to step up if need be. The motor that's in it now is torn down. The ppl who had it b4 me stripped it to make it a straight race car, then got out of it (The head was laying in the back of the car). The motor will make compression, but some of the links and such are missing, so it won't crank (it will turn over though). Don't know what's wrong with it exactly, but I know the timing chain is off and parts are missing. I wanted to explore other options before doing anything to it.
