i dont know if general electrics problems should be mentioned here, but hopefully they can be. in the mornings and evenings, my odometere and speedometer do not work. at night, my dash light doesnt work either. sometimes, they kick on after the car is warmed up. it seems to be dependant on temperature, but that doesnt make sense for an electrical problem. when they do kick on, they work fine, so i think the meters in the tranny are good. could there be a cable loos or something? anybody else have this problem? any help would be appreciated

my first car was also a 240, however mine is a 97 5 speed. And to think that if I hadn't walked by the dealership that fateful day I might never have gotten her. Oh and good luck with your s-13

Well congrats on the car, sounds like a beaut. The wiring problem doesn't make any logical sense for me, not like a ground is bad, only thing I could think of is the switch is somehow messed up, and your wires as well aren't connected well enough, only when they get a little bit hot they work. Your best bet for those will be to buy a FSM, the service manual nissan mechanics have, and take the dash out and look at it. Thats definately not a common occurence i've heard of.

Good luck

Dr.

Word up brother, the 240 is a great first car. It's my first car. Heh heh. Yeah, get an FSM, it'll help out with a lot of problems you'll encounter. I wish I could help you, but electrical stuff is definitely not my thing. That's why I'm a mechanical engineer. heh.
