Yea man, and im not sayin that cause I LOVE the ka, but im just sayin, all the motors are good. Which is why they use them in a BUNCH of different cars. They arent gonna make a motor for each care they make. They will tune it to its needs. Robbie

I read the post. Airport Rd. sounds like a road(street) to me.... I realize it is the middle of nowhere, but it is still not " keeping it safe and not in the streets". That would be taking it to a track.
I realize your point that it is safer than downtown, but I still don't think it is "safe". Just my opinion.

What, Gonad, it is not a truck motor, and the 240 is a great drad car, light weight, good power and almost 50/50 weight balance, and rwd. Sice you all talking about races, I got a story for you all. I race all the time a bunch of ricers here so I cant let tehm go. You all know that new neon srt4 the one that is getting all that hype. Well I saw one at the mall the other night, and they sound like crap, all the mags are it sound so good, BS. So, anyway I waited for him to come out of mall and he thought he was show bad cruising through parking lot and went to the first light . Well I pulled up on him and he started laughing so you know now that I gotta smoke him . He started reving his crappy motor, I MEAN THOSE REALLY SOUND HORRIBLE, and the light turned green, I spun for a second, and then I hit it, the race was over I left him by at least 3 or 4 cars, when I backed off. Dont you hate when you beat someone like that then after you put hazards on to say I beat you race over then they go tearing buy you and put their hand up. Anyway my point is the neon srt is a piece of crap, the rt nens give a better race. Also raced a wrx, they are better but are still overrated.

A bone stock 240sx will run somewhere in high-16s. And I am
gonna assume those that have very little drag racing experience
will most likely run in the 17s.
Hell, with times like that, you can practially read a book while
you're doing the 1/4-mile run.
If the 240 is built up (SR, KA-T, NAWZ, etc.) it can be a good
drag car, but stock, I don't think so.

My engine has been rebuilt by me and my dad, mechanic, and everything was ported and polished just this last week. I just got it back today. Everything is clean...I could eat sushi off of it now.
Now, there are many sleepers around here. There is a cavi here, I know they suck, and he runs 13's. It's quick but when street he isn't fast at all.

Exactly correct, no stock car I've seen @ the track has been stock other than a viper. Most cars are tuned, not even close to stock.
There's someone on the forums running a NA KA that runs 13's, not bad for a truck motor!

yeah, i think i might have to run the b.s. flag on that one. the times i've seen from car & driver, road & track, and the like put the SRT-4 somewhere around high 13 to low 14 stock and the 240SX somewhere around 15.9 (best driver, best track conditions, everything) to the mid and upper 16's. unless the guy missed his next two shifts completely, i don't see how he'd lose. not that i'm an SRT-4 fanboy or anything, but i do like to think of myself as realistic...
