my car gets about the same, 19-22mpg. i recently degraded to a factory intake system, rather than a f'd up cold air intake. i'm hoping that with the factory intake i'll get a little more. i drive to work on freeway and from work on streets, around 8 miles each way.
how did you get 25mpg on your car man? i'm thinking electric fans might help, but not by much...

i dont use the a/c. windows up with the fan turned on. got a normal foot. sometimes i get into it, but mostly about 1/4 of the way down on take off. i don't have any mods and those numbers were highway.

I said tune up time, so don't be saying I didn't try to help. What I did to get 25 mpg, usa AC instead of rolling windows down, and other mods to the motor which include header, 3 inch cat, K&N filter, new o2 sensor, fidanza lightweight flywheel. And this is me beating on the thing frequently revving to 5k

EDIT: I could probably get more once I check out my fouled sparkplugs.

You're certainly correct there.

I just got 38 MPG on the highway (Canadian gallons, a bit smaller than U.S. gallons) in my 95 Zenki with 171K KMs against wind, loaded down with stuff in the trunk for the weekend. Something's definitely wrong if you're only getting 22 MPG!

If your O2 sensor is bad, it'll send the wrong readings to the ECU therefore making your engine run less efficient thererfore burning more gas.
