I am lucky if I get over 200 miles to a tank. My mile per gallon is sorry.

You might be suffering from the same situation as me.

I too come from a honda which is rev happy and likes to be shifted at high RPMs. The Nissan is different. I had to learn to shift at 2k. Agressive sat in the car with me and noticed that I stayed in gear for too long.

Try shifting earlier. I found that I got better mileage but I have a bit of a heavy foot and can't help it.

I get about 22-25 mpg. Usually shifting at about 3200. Premium Fuel only. Didn't change O2 sensor either. Will and hopefully will get even more mpg.

We should all go VW Golf Turbo Diesel. I spoke to an owner and he gets 50mpg when he is on it with the heavy foot.

i've got a heavy foot and i get like 250 miles per tank (premium-$1.86/gal ). this winter i'll see what i get cuz i'll be shifting at like 2 grand or under. silvapwr/stanbo- see if you can get your hands on a compression tester (duzn't autozone have them for free rental?) and test your compression. you might have some slight leak down and thats why your gas mileage blows

That's a good point and also might need a tuneup+gas filter all that good stuff. Because on both my 240's especially my last one which I used to drive hard, I got like 22 mpg and that was Hard Driving. So THese cars are pretty nice on mpg compared to others. I get like 250 miles on like 10-11 gallons. I never ever let it go below that, due to the dirt in the gas tank that builds up..

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of doing rebuild/overhaul over this winter. Hit the timing chain and do some prettying up in the engine bay.

I like the KA I think I will keep it in the 240 until it blows up on me.

dont forget to inviet me for the weekend

the KA will never blow-up if you rebuild it. the timing chain and sh!tty nissan head gaskets are its worst enemy.

my headgasket is a little leaky so i'll be doin that next weekend. i need to compression test also.

my mpg's are ok. i drive HARD. fuel is my last concern when i drive.
then again i no longer have an inspection sticker(damn wiper blades) so it don't get driven much
