Get parts from ebay?

I have a 1993 S13 Hatchback and it is mainly used for drift.

I am thinking about getting the following parts in ebay:

1) Version 2 B&M styled short shifter
2) Steering wheel and hub
3) Bucket seat

I understand that "you get what you pay for", but for some parts such as short shifter, intake, and exhaust, they are kind of simple and standard parts. I don't think they have much differences from brand-name parts.

For sure, I will never buy critical parts from Ebay such as coilover, control arms, turbo, radiator, etc.

What do you guys think? Any good experience with ebay parts? Should I just stay away from ebay and get cheaper brand-name parts from Megan, Circuit Sports, etc?

Thanks!

Yes to the steering wheel and hub. Ive got the hub and quick release, lasted me over a year. Get the deep dish wheel tho. Those flat face ones are so flimsy. No to the bucket. Like come on. Ebay Seats look so crappy and usually flex hella. Your stock seats probably fit tighter and have more rigidness. No to the short shifter. A real B&M is worth every penny.

But thats just my .02

Naw, circuit sports short shifter mang!! B&M knock off all day lol. Just put your oem lower shift bushing onto it and you will have no issues.

Oh yeah and +1 on the wheel thing. A friend has one and it sucks big time. Hell you can get a mooneyes wheel w/adapter for under 100 bucks! Unless you want jdm tightness wheel....... but then ebay is definetly not what you need to be looking at.

Kinda looks like a vertex knock off. Is it flimsy at all?

I heard some of those wheel hubs crap on you quickly, why not just buy the Momo hub adapter? 50 bucks...

And yeah, no on the seats, save a little more and buy GTR seats for 600.

DON'T DO IT MAN!!! a while back i order a few different things from ebay for my civic (intake, exhaust, and short shifter) only the short shifter worked "as advertised" meaning it installed like it should have, the intake and exhaust I had to modify, meaning i had to cut things and then re-weld things back together in different places, soooo much work. but i have never had a problem when buying from an actual name brand product or with a legitemate site.

so in short, my advice is stay away from ebay!

rather than asking about ebay why not ask about individual sellers. or when you have a good experience with a seller name him/her by name and the name other ebay store. otherwise it's like saying you went to a mall and the shirt you bought faded after the first wash or some other vague general statement that is just as useless.

oh yeah and there's this thing called a "search" function what works really well. especially considering we've already covered this quite a bit in the last month.
