good deal?

91 240sx

1991 Nissan 240SX SE
VIN #:JN1MS36P2MW006096
5-speed
179k
Grey
No radio, A/C needs recharged,
bottom passanger window cracked
front bumper not in greatest shape, dent on driver side headlight
drivers side headlight motor is dead, but is up!
rust under foam spoiler, about 2 inches down worth of rust, no spare tire or jack
5th gear, makes a funny sound when in gear but still does work
dents in front of the hood, both headlights turn on, the exhuast manifold has a leak, leak in the exhaust, not sure but sounds like in the cat or downpipe,
Sunroof, DOES NOT HAVE ***HICAS***,<---I think because it does not have the decal
both windows go down and up, rear defroster works, replaced parts with less than 30 miles on parts
tires have about maybe 50% tread left

oil changed twice since I've owned it, distributer rotor, Bosch Spark Plug wires, Bosch Spark Plugs.

he wants $700, good deal?

Just how many accidents has it been in?
I would be hard pressed to give him $500 for it. That would make a semi nice parts car though.

Check that front end damage VERY closely.

Mine ran & drove for $300. that doesnt say much.

Has it been in any accidents? There is NO reason that bumper shouldnt match up. It isnt that hard to put on considering he obviously had it off before.
I would seriously check for frame damage.
I got my car that ran & drove for $300 & I picked up a complete( I drove it home 12 miles) parts car for $400.
My 240 had some damage to the back which I fixed with almost no problem. The parts car hit a pole up front & with the 92 front end on it you would have never known. BUT, I could lift the ENTIRE radiator support out of the car because it was broken off.

Just because it is cheap, doesnt make it a good deal. Choose your car wisely.

i made the mistake of buying a 240 for $600 with body damage, the guy told me it was minor and the frame was straight so i got it had it shipped to my house took the front end apart and ill be damned the frame was bent, i wasnt to happy and buy that time the guy i purchased it from couldnt be found, body work sucks and it gets expensive reall fast, if you want a project get one with a bad motor, easiest thing to do its cheap you can get a motor for a couple hundred and its really not that hard to install. either way its your call, good luck.
