good starter, wont start

my friend has got an 89 240 coupe and when he turns the key he doesnt even get a clicking noise, All lights inside and out turn on fine and doesnt dim. He took the starter out and had them test it. it tested good. I've checked all his fuses inside the dash and next to the battery. What else could be something i could look for?

Oh, and he can push start it

the wirering connectors that are by the fuse box beside the batt. one of them could be apart, other than that

could those three relays in that fuse box by the battery be the culprit? I need to take a test light to the connectors on the starter, but i'll see what i find.

lol these freaking starters are wierd. next time your with your buddy and it dosn't start, one of you turn the key and have the other tap the starter solenoid with a hammer.. sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, meaning somtimes it works, somtimes it dosn't.
if that is the case, then go and find a rebuilt one from some place. it was about 40 bucks + my old starter when mine went bad.
