Question Hard Cold Shifting?

i just had an auto > manual swap done on my 92 240 ..

when i first get into my car.. its pretty rough shifting into the gears.. even with the clutch fully depressed it will grind into position..

it does this until the car of clutch "warms up" after a few minutes of driving..

is this normal for the 240? ive owned manual tranny cars from civics to a mr2 turbo.. and never had this issue.

also we installed a new clutch plate when the tranny swap was done?

any ideas?

thanks in advance

your syncros may be on their way out. it is harder to shift when it's cold but it shouldn't grind. it should just make it a lil harder.

Buy 3 quarts of Redline MT-90 and change your fluid. Might not fix it, but it should help.

my '95 shifts kinda rough when it's cold too. Granted I have 175K on the engine + tranny, but double clutching until the car warms up usually works.
