Head Up Display

When I bought my car the HUD wasnt working, same for the speedo and dashboardlightning.

I just started the car in full darkness and saw vague my HUD shining, but i couldnt see changing numbers when i moved the car.

I already changed my speedsensor, but there was no diffrence.
Has anyone been there, done that with the HUD problems?
Where do I have to search? All fuses are ok. Am I facing complete dashboard dismantle?

i dont know how many times i post this link... but it seems i put it up all the time... anyway...

the reason your hud is not working is because there is a burned up or loose cap on your digital speedo... you can either replace it or you can try this fix... anyway... here is the link for the repair...

i tried that and the cap was good and it ended up frying a ground wire in the digital display. If you dont wanna have to do that a display from nissan where i am was only like $100

if you have the older style digital speedo then it will one day start to take a crap on you... if yo have the newer style nissan said they had it fixed... good luck on it never going out...

another fix for this it so go to the junk yard and get another cluster out of a non hud car... make sure it had the same motor as your current cluster or you will have to swap out the tach... get the cluster as well as the 18 inch sub harness... kinda hard to get the plugs but they are back there to the right zip tied to the support bar behind the dash...

remove your stock cluster and sub harness and plug in the one from the junk yard... install the cluster and drive with a speedo...

i did this route for now until i decide if i want to put the hud back in or not...

kicks self... shoulda taken pics of that one...

hmm.. that's the problem.. there are no 240's on the junk yard here, cause I got one of a few imported 240's in Holland. Im driving exclusive, but for problems like this it doesnt help that im one of a very few in Holland that drives a 240
