Headlight Alignment

I couldn’t find anything on the forums on this subject so now there is one. I just installed some Hyper White low and high beam and noticed I can’t see at night! It looks like the lights are shining up in the trees and off to the side of the road. The owner's manual says that the low beams should be leveled in the middle of the line with the bubble, on zero. Mine are all messed up looking on level ground, ones too low and the others too high. Should I level them both in the middle or have them aligned professionally? Because i know they arent suppose to be straight, or they would blind people.

This is how my dad showed me how to align my headlights when I replaced them.
1) Take a car with correctly aligned headlights and park it roughly 25 feet away from a wall. Make sure your on flat ground or it'll be all funky.
2) Get some duct tape or electrical tape or anything to mark where the car was. Also use the tape to mark on the wall where the beams are pointed on the wall.
3) Once you have where the beams are marked switch cars and align the headlight beams to line up with the marks on the wall.
4) Go out for a test drive and try out the headlights making sure they're level. If they aren't go back and set them right or however you want them.
This is what I've done and I like it, but it is always best to go and have some professionals do it.

edit:
.....they are much better now. They are pointed on the road. Not the brightest lights but i dont thing the plastic headlights are that bright to begin with.
