HELP check engine light due to a bad catalytic converter
I need some help I just bought a 95 240sx SE Manual. The check engine light came on due to a bad catalytic converter. Can this be the reason why? Custom 2.5in Magnaflow catback w/ 22in resonator? Also will I need be need to change the o2 sensor and wires? I live in Santa Clara CA, as you know I need a catalytic converter that is california emission... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING OR ANY PLACE OR PRICE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME proskillz7@hotmail.com THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GUYS TIME AND EFFORT

A magnaflow or CATCO high flow cat is the route you should take. It wont drop performance and they are OBD2 compliant for smog, (I have a CATCO and I passed my OBD1 emissions). You should also replace the second O2 sensor.
You also need to break in the high flow cat for a day or 2 for at least 30miles. Then reset your ecu, you should be good for smog.
Total $150 in parts you can install yourself. If the CAT comes with no flanges have a professional weld flanges it should only cost $80~$100. First install the sensor, if that doesn't work then get the CAT.
