HELP! Gas Tank Leaks

yeah whenever it's over about 1/2 tank i smell gas all the time. well i filled it last night for the first time, and today i got new tires and while it was in the air i ducked under and saw gas running from the front of the tank down to the bottom, nice sized wet patch but NOT dripping so i dunno if it's steady or what. but sometimes i notice wet droplets on the ground.

is this a common problem or no?

Either use JB Weld, or go to the junkyard and get a used one.
