help, o2 question
help, o2 question
does it matter if the o2 is kinda covered? does it have to be exposed alot and go far into the elbow pipe??
heres a pic
----skinny o2 sensor for sr redtop----
i got a adaptor that can fit the skinny o2 sensor into the fatter holes that come with some after market elbow pipes( turbo outlet pipe) will this stop my o2 from working properly? how much of it need to be exposed? when the o2 is in the adaptor, it has a opening around it atleast 1-2 mm gap inside the adaptor.
sorry if i dont make sense, thats why i made a pic, lol

the o2 sensor needs to be in the exhaust gas stream... meaning it has to go farther into the manifold than that... i have never tried it with so little in the exhaust stream but it might be a trick to fool the o2 sensor... give it a try... make sur you put antiseeze on it befor you put it back in...
