If your planning on drifting, don't get it.

Personally i would say no. Really it just complicates your car and really isnt that nessecary. Theres a reason they don't have it on new models.

That said, some people like it... but really it comes down to what you want to do with your car, and whether you mind the extra headache or not.

HICAS SUCKS!!! If it was a good thing it would of been installed onto s14's and s15's, obviously it didn't happen for a reaon. HICAS is only used to shift the pitch and camber of the rear tires from too much over steer. It isn't used as a good advantage for drifting, or even most AUTO X.
It also makes the chassis weight of the car heavier, I don't think there is anything good to hicas.

Super hicas is the same thing as hicas, only with a bit more degree of turn. It still sux so avoid it.

Yeah there are rods that you can use to lock up the hicas rear. Then you can remove the hicas system from your 240sx.

Hicas only came on se hatch backs as an option in the usdm and it will have Abs and vlsd. it will say hicas or super hicas on the quarter panel in the black tape right behind the doors. and im pretty sure hicas DID in fact come on s13s s14s and s15s as an option on all models in the japanese market.
only thing ive driven with hicas is a z32 it made for really responsive handling. but from what i read in s13s its rather slow and not as responsive as the newer Super hicas equiped cars.
you can get a hicas eliminator bar from a number of companys.
if you want more infor please find the search button and use it there is tons and tons of info on hicas on here and online google is your friend.
