Question How to keep my car happy?

I tried searching but I couldnt find what I was looking for, maybe I used the wrong keywords and for that I'm sorry.

Everyone wants to have the coolest, fastest or most JDM car or whatever, but what I want to know is what is going to help my car make it in the long run.

What reliablility modifications are necessary in order to keep my car healthy? Aside from changing the oil, shocks and tires. I mean what on the Nissan 240 is the first thing to go, more specifically my 95 SE. Every car is different and unlike my 93 RX7 I'm sure the AST and the non-exisiting MAF are things I should be weary of. So what should I be concerned with? I've been reading a lot about the control arms and how some of the suspension are part of the 240's weak points but I could be wrong, so someone help me out or point me in the right direction, thanks in advance.

i ve known 3 95 s14s with some kinda of engine seal needing to be replaced... my rear main seal was leaking a lil bit at 82k miles but then again the mechanic said its gonna be a while before you need to change it... so check those seals!

the suspention is not the weak link it is the bushings in the suspention... a good set of bushings helps tons... as far as the timing chain making noise... there are a set of guides in the upper timing chain that should be removed...that is most likley making the chatter noise... nissan has a service bulitin on removing them because they tend to break and fall into the head or oil pan and can cause damage...
