Interesting stuff.....

Sorry for the long write up, but I got ?'s

So Igot this big f*ckn Blitz muffler on my S13, all motor, 2 1/4 piping )from a local shop, stock cat, and I bought a blitz silencer for it and it is still loud as ****. I bought the muffler and they sent me the wrong one, but it still looked allright. It was more round than the longer one I wanted.

Anyways I too would like to quiet my ride down. Where can I find a resonator and what type of shop can I take it to to have it installed. (muffler shop, reg.auto shop?)
I've even thought of just getting a new muffler, but I don't wanna go through the same trial and error ****

any suggestions on a single tip muffler that's quiter would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Onevia

Think he checked your Myspace page thats listed as your homepage lol.

Onevia, I'm sure you should be able to get a resonator from any exhaust shop, and it will quiet down your exhaust.

Those $30 OBX (high flow cats) arent CATS but rather resonators. Your best bet is to get one of those since it is a direct bolt in, you can get them off of ebay.
I just got rid of my pacesetter muffler and installed a magnaflow muffler. Good choice IMO it is an excellent muffler upgrade, actually produces more power than my old pacesetter, and even a much smoother tone and sound. At low throttle under 3000RPM it's very smooth and somewhat quiet

I had to order part number 12148.. It came with a 2.25" inlet, and Dual 2"outlets which I had the inlet stretched at Mel&Sons exhaust shop to 2.5".
I actually wanted part number 12158 it costed the same price. For that day that muffler wasn't in stock and I didn't want to wait, I also felt spend happy that day.
After being advised from Mel and sons that the Dual 2.5"duals was going to make my exhaust louder than usual I went with the 2" outlets. Im very comfortable with the results and NOISE pollution isn't loud, and it sounds nice and deep. No rasp like my old pacesetter had, but eeh during the time I had it it did it's job.
I had Mel&Sons weld the tips, they do execellent work and I was willing to pay the $60 welding charge.
I picked out a Satin Stainless, I wanted my exhaust to look very close to a stock look, it works great for me....

yea i order #12215...i had a magnaflow on my old car and i liked the sound except for the 'gurgling' effect it made, but i gave that car to my little bro...the muffler i have now is just entirely too loud, i got it from meineke which is probably the reason why..oh well by next friday i should have this new muffler on with its tip..i was debating on either magnaflow or flowmaster, but flowmaster would be a little louder and im not sure if the 60 series would sound right on our cars anyway...hopefully it will be quieter even with the higher idle, the headers and the hi flow cat..ill let you guys know.
