engine.... get a new one with low miles on it so you can prolong the life of your car. then, do some upgrades with the money left over. intake, exhaust, tein springs, clutch... that about takes up $1500

say $400 engine, intake can be $50-100, exhaust$350, clutch$350, springs $?

see there ya go

i think his milage is ok. if it's anyone who needs real engine work, it would be me.
runnin on a KA24E with close to 220K miles on it and still rockin... not rockin as in hardcore, rockin as in i'd probably need new mounts.

I like cowboys idea. save it for a rainy day.

i m answering this after i read what the upgrades were on ur car... and as soon as i read that you had 140k on ur engine... i think you should save the 1500 and get about 2 more grand and put a sr20 in it or get a new KA and turbo it

^^^ Suspension, Brakes, and drivtrain are first priority. You dont want to have a ton of power with stock brakes. Its not how fast you go its how fast you brake before you hit the pole

hmm I guess I should get a newer KA then. I don't think I will go SR cuz I live in CA and there is no way I can get it to pass smog.

There's plenty of people who can pass smog for you, or know someone that would pass it. That's why we're on forums, to have hookups! lol. Anyway, if you're planning on getting another KA, I'd suggest that you use that 1500 to rebuild it. Only about 400 for a motor. If you don't want that, then get suspension, lsd, brakes, 300zx fuel filter.....the list can go on and on. ugh.....
