Okay I have finaly made up my mind about what Im going to do. I was going to chuck the KA engine out of my 1990 240sx and replace it with the SR20, but this summer Im going to Europe for 7 weeks and since I will spending most of my time in the Greek Islands and I will be attending the opening seramony at the 2004 Olympics, I figured I should put my money towards having a kick *** time this summer and do the conversion in the fall. So unfortunately no SR20 for me this summer Since I will chuck the KA in the fall I figured I will have some cheap fun with it so I will be instaling a stage 1 or 2 nitrous oxide system in it If it blows it blows!!! But at least I will have some fun before I chuck it out. So that's my plan for this year.
1. Instal nitrous oxide system
2. Have fun with it.
3. Take a kick *** 7 week vacation this summer.
4. Come back have more fun with Nitrous KA.
5. Blow up Nitrous KA
6. SR20 TIME!!!

OR... save your money and don't waste it on nitrous and still have fun w/ the 240 and still have fun in Europe and put more money towards the sr20

 

I say dont buy the nitrous, and spend that money towards the swap or your trip. You can still have fun with the KA

 

I say do the nitrous! It sounds like it would be a blast, plus I have always thought that the only good KA is a mangled KA! I'm thinking 100hp shot, should last for about 2 shots, classic! Have fun on vacation man!

Yeah no kidding! Go for it!! A lot of guys have wanted to do NOS but were afraid of the reprocusions...price, blown motor etc.
Have fun with it......like you said, if it blows, it blows. Just make sure you dont blow your engine, and then come to realize you cant front the bill, for the SR

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah nitrous is fun one of my friends has nitrous in his 300zx and if you use a stage 1 NOS kit and you try not to use nitrous in the red line zone you can save your engine but if I know I have enough money to do the engine swap then I don't care about saving the engine I want to see a piston go through the hood! If I catch it on video that would be so sweet
