Arrow I'm Painting My S14 Flat Back

Don't really know why im posting, maybe incase someone else has done it. The front bumper paint is chipping all over, the rear has a dent so when i pop it out it will be all screwey and need bondo, and i don't care for the color, (greenish-purple-blue). I don't know if anyone saw the people at Modified Magazine paint a blue STI flat black. It won't cost much, and i was going to get it painted eventually, i'll just be helping out the painters.

Blah blah, i rant and rave, anyone done this before?

actually that was Sport Compact Car magazine that painted the STi flat black. unless you have gold rims, i personally dont think it will look good on an S14

what i would suggest is that you go to the paint store and buy a metal etching primer... what it does is etch down to the metal and bonds the paint... strong stuff but they do make it in flat black... i painted my civic in a blue version and then i did a custom mix of clear and pearls that addd a kick *** effect and the whole paint job (i did it myself) cost me only 126.00 but that is not taking into account the bondo and sand paper that i used to do all the prep work...

or, like one of our guys, you can just rattlecan it in a day and move on with your life...

IMO flat black reminds me of black primer... but hey, I'm into glossy stuffs

I was going to rattlecan it because i don't want to mess with dealing with painting and everything else. I hate the color and it looks crappy, eventually i'll get it painted a dark black or something at a paint booth, but until then, ill go buy me about 30 cans of primer =D

all rain and all cold make me no want to work. No i'm trying to find a place i can buy like 20 bottles of the same black primer to do it, i don't want 3 different versions of black =\ and i need to find a electric sander to sand the paint down, anyone have any suggestions? Maybe sears? what kind or sand paper grit?

Also gotta pop a dent out and fit it up with some bondo or something, smooth it out, im skipping school tomorrow for this sole reason ;D

car > school
