well i still have power lag. i resently pulled apart the engine and replaced the head i even had my father help(he used to rebuild vw back in the 70s). ever sence i replaced the head iv felt a lag in power exspecially above 5k rpm. im at my wits end i need some help. i didnt do much else.
ok first things first, and at the rick of sounding like a complete jerk i must say that all your above post sound like ramblings and nothing more. partial statements or misdirected questions only lead to more questions that will only complicate things.
the best i can figure with what little information you've provided the best i advise i can give is that you should re-check all the lines and sensor connections. make sure the connections are clean and the vacuum lines aren't pinched or came off.

sorry i saw jramo was online i figured he would respond quicker, but it didnt quite happen that way. my bad, any way. i cant find a site to show were the vacuume lines should go, ill just go buy a chiltons and go over the vacuume line once more, does any one know what that dang sensor bolted to the intake manifold is? its right below the intake pipe, and its real hard to get back in, its got a vacumme line coming from the side and one going to the bottom i can't remimber if it had any wires to it, i think it did. i cant find what it is any where on the net. i replaced it with one from my doner car. the one i had before had a nail in the sensor and a nail in the vacuume line. so i just replaced it.
check timing.
