well, the links don't work.

Where do you live? What temperatures are the hottest?

CAI is good for very hot places, however, more often than not it is proven that on an n/a 240sx, a SRI (Short-Ram Intake) will show better performance.

Personally, my intake of choice is the AEM short-ram ... i'll be buying that. We have modest temperatures here, and cold winters. The summer we top out at around 90 ... but thats only for about 2-3 weeks of the year. Thus, SRI is the best choice for me.

Short intakes are good for top end power, cold air intake makes a good amount of torque.
Personally I like short intakes, I think the KA already produces alot of torque, I would rather get the torque numbers down , and increase HP.
YAY for the coolant bypass, cold air intakes are kinda unecessary.

From what I have seen Injen is cheaper, and the AEM is smogable. Take your pick they both produce good numbers on the dyno.

When did Injen get a CARB O.E? Last I look they didn't provide any O.E numbers? This was like 2 months ago.

$150 for a couple HP? I wouldn't spend it. Make your own.

No way, my buddy E got his in 2.5" pipe it sucked *** and looked horrible, probably made bad flow numbers as well. If you do get a cheap intake read the fine print and make shure you get it in 3" pipe, or at least 70mm in diameter.

Florida doesn't have emmisions laws as far as I know. Maybe a FL person can verify this.

Shotty53 one way to build one, requires you to move or buy a smaller battery. It allows you to clean up the engine bay and make a nice short intake. Instead of going across the engine bay the intake turns towards the battery.

Just go to a muffler shop and buy your self a Mandrel bent U shape pipe, cut to shape, pick up a maf sensor adapter (if needed), and a cone filter that fits the pipe. If thats seems to hard just go buy one I guess, might be better for you. Hope that helps.
