J/W how to register a car from japan?

J/W how to register a car from japan?

I was just wondering if someone like me were to buy a rightside drive 240 from japan and had it shipped here how would i get it registered to drive?

You can't.

only way is to try to pass it off as a 240sx and in a easy state like Florida.

well you could try to get it done as a kit car. in the container it would have to be tranny and drive train is separate from engine and chassis, which is separate from the frame too. the wiring harness would have to be separated too. you could then try to ship it over and register it a a kit car. you'd need to change out the glass (all of it) and tune the car with a cat. there's some other stuff too but this is just the basics.

get it done as a show car...a guy here in macon has 2 Skyline GTRs and a s15 Silvia (for his wife) on the way. He had them registered in Canada and shipped over the border, the other skyline was registered as a show car (you can only have it in the US for 2 years and then they destroy the car).
