Shipping a car from Japan

how much would it cost to send a car from japan to America? Does it depend on where you live or is there other factors?

about $2000.

Other factors? Well it depends on the shipping company, but shipping is shipping.
You wanna ship to LA vs Miami? it will be cheaper of course. Now actually getting it out of port is an entirely differnet story.

Thanks for the info. Have you done this before? If so, I would definatley take your word for it. Also, if you have a RHD car, was it hard to adapt to it being RHD?

dude...you can't just buy a car from japan..have it shipped here and drive it man..its not that easy..it is a huge ****ing ordeal

i had friends that used to do the import thing..one container was held in customs for like 4 weeks while they "inspected" the cars..its a demanding process dude..

they ending up driving up there and cutting the cars up for "parts" because they were not going to let us bring complete running cars in..

also..the hard part of RHD isn't the shifting..its getting used to sitting on the right side..and not hugging the middle line..takes alittle practice

DUDE, I wasnt going to buy a car from Japan. I was alittle curious because I came across a website that sells JDM cars. I just wanted to get some input on this subject. Sorry if I hit a nerve!
