here in north AL, we **** on the EPA. then we get in our big lifted trucks with 40" mud tires with straight pipes and no CATs and still be street legal!

Any state that does smog will do it for all cars. CA, you have to smog period. All of the new vehicles today have a 4 year grace period before they are required to be smoged. My S14 has to be smoged every 1 or 2 years (I forget) any 350Z will only need to be smoged every 3 - 4 years. We go by age (of the vehicle) brakets to determine how many years in between smog inspections.

... thats a bit reverse to our inspection standards... but ok.

I just know that the older the car, the more frequent the smog (the most is once a year) unless you obtain a classic car title (30 years old).

blah, every state is different. I just know CA is the most uptight about emissions in the nation.
