It wont affect anything but the speedometer. the odometer, and the cruise control.

Wrong..
removing the speed sensor will make the engine run pig rich.

^ sure, i don't know as much as you.

My car had a non working HUD and then I fixed it.

I personally didn't notice any difference. BUt i believe Big V.

i know i had to run without the sped sensor in y 98 civic for a couple weeks and it didn't run rich at all (and the only thing that didnt work was the cruise control and the speedometer) but obviously the KA is a completely different motor so it could be different.

If you have the stock cooling system, it should be good enough. Shouldnt be overheating. Maybe its time for a coolant flush.

Let me clarify something, I said that mine had a broken HUD, So it might run rich with a broken speed sensor.

The broken HUD, not broken speed sensor.

So, i didn't run rich because the speed sensor was working. The ECU was getting a speed signal.

So, if it is the speed sensor, it might run rich like Big V said.

the speed sensor is part of the overall engine and emissions control so it could possibly affect the fuel delivery. i can't say for sure if and how it would though because the ecu has preset values that it reverts to based on signals from the maf and cas. so if it in fact does affect the fuel delivery it would make sense for it to cause a rich condition rather than lean.
