More wires cut... What is this?
The previous owner of my 96 cut ALOT of wires under the dash. I've gotten most everything working again but while trying to figure out why my heater does not work I found more cut wires. The image below will show what I'm talking about.
Now the wires that are cut may be the wires that go to the device that I have highlighted, or they may not. I don't know what that is or what it does but it looks to have a spot for a plug on the front. Can anyone tell me what that thing does?

Dude, If im now mistaken, those look like speaker wires.....are you speakers working??? the part you are reffering to I think controls the air ducts on your air vent system...sorry I have an '89 and is kind of different.....make sure to track all your wires....

Yeah all the speakers are working and hooked up to the stock wires. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what all these cut wires go to.
I think your right on that part. Has a little arm and rod thing that looks like it should move... AC works but no heater.
I think this one is beyond me, might have to have a shop look at this one. It might be nice to have a heater this winter just in case I decide to go up north again.

its kinda hard to tell what the wires go to just by seeing the ends of them and what color they are.... u cant trace them back? do they go into the stock harness? a Nissan service manual would tell you what they are...
