motor oil...

hey guys well im wondering what kind of oil my 93 240 uses since it doesnt say on the ait box. im guessing 5w-10 or 5w-30? i dunno well help me out here.

5w30 or 10w30 will do if you live in warmer climates with no freezing temperatures. the w means its viscosity is 10 when cold (w=winter not weight) and when the oil heats up itll become a 30 weight. you want the oil to be light at first so itll easily spread through the engine at start up.

i live in sacramento so im guessing its gonna be a 10w-30 then rite? because im doing a tune up on my car today.

no need to come to a forum for a silly question like this.

Red your owners manual Front to Back. It'll amaze you what you can learn.

PS. oil type is in the owners manual, use the contents and index to find it.

sorry for asking something kinda dumb lols..but i dont have the owners manual i just bought my car and came with no owners manual/repair manual.

Always add Oil Stabilizer, It help a lot. Its a great update. Like from regular, to synthetic, to oil+ stabiliser. Lucas is da ****.
