Hey if it makes you feel anybetter I had a pretty bad day myself. I had just gotten home from school and moved my 240 out of the way (Its my daily driver) and backed my restored 69 Camaro out of the garage too take my friend for a ride. I got it all washed up and warmed up the VERY cold blooded 427. My friend got there and we pulled out of the driveway for a nice drive. I came up to a stop sign and my friend said "So, is it fast?" I grinned and stood on the throttle and spun the big BFG 275's out back. The car climed to about 5000 RPM and I went for second. What happened next was kinda surreal.

There was a loud bang on all of sudden there was a 6 inch rip through my hood. My first thought was the motor had gone, but when I pulled over it was idling just fine. A little confused a turned the car off and popped the hood.

What I saw was complete carnage. The plate that is on a the water pump to connect the pulley and fan too had come off. This meant the fan was not held on by anything. At 5000 RPM's it effortlessly tore the radiator apart, bent all the pulleys, ripped the water pump off the block and then went through the hood.

I called my insurance company and they more or less told me that I was screwed because the damage was caused by a mechanical problem. They wouldn't even pay for a tow home. I tried to get info from the company who made the pump, but was given a run around.

So this winter I get to buy about 2K worth of parts and paint the hood again, which means another stripe kit and the cost of paint. So I feel your pain. All I could do was smile and look at it as an opportunity for better parts to replace what I lost.

god damn, that's crazy,
remind me of my friend
his turbo ls teg
we were fixing it, and forgot to put back 1 of the hose, so we were driving, and felt no boost and hear a horrible cranking sound, so we pulled over and found out da ****, at first we thought, damn, turbo must have died, and he was bout to cry, haha, but then we also found out that the intercooler pipe wasn;t tightly put in, so it came loose, so we were very relieved
but, yea **** happens man,
now im pissed off because da firend with da 240 to part out is bailing out on me, he dont want to give me the rad support cuz then it will leave the car as a pile of junk, but im like it already is, damn, gotta sort things out, my car was suppose to be done 3 days ago, but now it will take a while longer,, sigh

well guys, this whole nightmare is about to be over, things are starting to look good for me, in 3 weeks school would be over, so less stress and BS for me, my car is about to be done very soon, within this week, hope it wont rain, i did the whole repair myself!!! took da f*cked rad support, then put on a used one, im pretty suprise that it fit rather good, although it don't look that all good, but hey, atleast it is on and the hood shut!, i just need to align the hood alittle more, and put everything back on, if they dont fit right, ill make them fit right!!,,
o and that 240sx going for 50 dollar deal, well i decided to just junk it, no one live near me that was interested,,,
anyway
bu spring i probably would have saved up enough money for a kit, sr20, cf hood, and paint, rims and susp. can be done later on, beside haha my ride is still so high up, but that's good for winter, anyway, back to da f*cked up sh*t

im not doing too good in school
and driving da truck everyday is killing me, it burn gas like a f@ggot on fire!!, (ford f150 XLT)

okay guys, it is all over!, i forgot to inform u guys that i finished fixing my car on thursday around 7pm, took her out for a spin, she was purring like kitty, hehe.,
also i notice how long it took her to warm up, and he seem to be cooling so much more efficiently than ever b4, the new radiator did the trick and also the 50lb+ weight deduction...

"Its only after we've lost everything, that we're free to do anything."

Nice little quote from my favorite movie Fight Club.
