Need Help!!

Need Help!!

hey i just replaced my fuel filter, pump, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor and now my car is sputtering everynow and then and i dont have as much power anymore..HELP PLEASE!

Timing

incorrect gapping

fuel lines installed backwards.

check it bro

the rotor has a machine screw so you shouldn't abel to install it wrong. i'd check to see that the plug wires are in the right place and check the gap on the plugs too.

if he took the dizzy completely out. and rotated the rotor. he could be way off. you must set TDC and make sure the rotor button is on plug number 1.

if you need more info. ill explain how to do it

well if that's the case yah you screwed up your timing. no biggy just set to tdc and you'll be ok.

ahhh thanks guys ima try and check the gapings on my plugs then im gonna set the timming right...im actually a Technician at Tow wood volkswagen and japanese cars a little different than german...lol i just plug a scan tool up to a german car..i cant to this one..thanks alot guys

timing the distributor is pretty tricky if your new to it. sure the rotor has to line up but thats when its in there. itll move over a few teeth when put in so you have to turn it counter clockwise acouple teeth so when it moves clockwise itll line up. to check to see if its right you can check the rotor like the picture or you can take off you vc and see if both dots line up on the "shaft" of the distibutor.

yea japanese cars alot more simpler. lol..

i pulled a motor/tranny and other parts from a 740il and dude that **** had sensor all over it.. about 3 to 4 control units im like wtf.

you don't have to remove the dis. just set the no. 1 piston to tdc and make sure that the rotor is aligned with the no.1 spark plug.

you have to take it out. thats the only way i know how to time it, lol
