new clutch problem

I,ve never experienced crap like this...
91 240sx here's the story...
One morning I sat in my car. The clutch was stuck to the floor. I pumped it and it was fine. I took it to the shop and replaced the clutch master/ slave cylinder. The clutch started slipping and went out the next day. I bought an ACT 6 puck clutch with pressure plate and got it installed by the same shop. The clutch felt wierd and was slipping! They readjusted the clutch to no avail. The shop blamed it on the clutch. I got the clutch removed and took it to ACT. They tested it's pressure in front of me. It was in spec condition. I got it reinstalled with the clutch pedal adjusted to how ACT said it should be. My car no longer slips, but it engages at the very end of releasing it. It should start to give right off the floor. No one knows why this is. Even the dealership said the clutch pedal is adjusted perfect. They said it feels as if the clutch is starting to go because the point of engagement. It's also very uncomfortable to shift into first. If I don't shift just right, it jerks and makes a loud crash type noise. What's worse is now my stick slips out of 2'nd and 4'th gears sometimes. This problem started happening the moment I got my car back from the shop that installed the clutch. It's been 2 months and the clutch still grabs fine. Sorry this was so long. I'm frustrated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thats weird it sounds as if the clutch is fried? Did they surface your flywheel and replace the t/o bearing and shift fork?

the clutch is hydrolic...have them try belleding the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder again...it should bring the pedal back up to where it was...if the clutch and pressure plate are within specs this is the only other thing i can think that would cause the problem...

They bled everything and a new throw out bearing came with the kit. The flywheel was resurfaced to spec. I don't know what a shift fork is though. Do you guys know what I'm talking about when I say a loud crashing noise? Has this happened to anyone else before? Isn't it wierd that my tranny started going out right after I got my car back? I thought stuff like that happened gradually.

how many miles are on the tranny itself and did you replace the tranny with gear oil. that should make the clutch do that but it might be a start to solving your problems. i would take it to a tranny specialty shop. although that is really strange. is the pedal itself just sticking? if you have floor mats in it take them out and see if it does it, sounds wierd but i had the same thing happen were the clutch wouldnt engage untill the very end and it felt like it would just "pop" out the rest of the way.....py floor mat was sticking to it.....go figure, lol. good luck with it.

the tranny has 150,000 miles on it. I suspected the gear oil was a problem so I changed it too. It helped 2'nd and 4'th a little, but the clutch stayed the same. The pedal is not sticking... It is just engaging higher than it should for a new clutch.

Yeah, even the dealership said the clutch pedal was adjusted right. I guess I'm SOL. If anyone knows what an "internal" problem may be please let me know. Thanks

Hey man I kinda dealt with that last week. I bought 3 different clutches before I found one that would work in my car. The first clutch started slipping cuz the fly wheel never got turned to start with and it burnt up the pressure plate. So then I got 2 more clutches and neither one of them would even engage and go into gear. But the 3rd clutch I got was a freaking AC Delco Clutch and it seems to be working fine. I would take the clutch back and make them give you a different one. It may be to late now since you have had the clutch a couple of months.
