thats why im going to be putting them together... if all goes well i will be getting the motors for almost nothing... and the company i work for i get a hell of a discount on parts... for stock parts i can rebuild the motor for around 400 bucks... that is going to put me right around 500 for the motors and the rebuild... like i said im buying 3 cars from the guy and getting the motors for almost nothing if it all works out right...

Good point.... My performance rebuild is at $3700 right now. It was estimated at $3500...... Forged internalls "rods and pistons", CA18de valve train internals, port and honing, and machined counter weighed crank. It gets "EXTREMELY" expensive for one engine alone.

Yeah I was quoted $2000 for a non performance rebuild. When I was offered counter weighing, port and hone, and high rev CA18de valve train for the estimate of $3500 I said FU@$IT might as well get every lick of HP power out of my KA.....
That way I can blast Hondas, Toyota Supra's, and "even you SR20det guys" in the quarter mile.........
Rebello Racing and 510 motor sports have built street legal 225+ HP KA's "at the wheels", doing the performance rebuild. I think it is worth it.

it may be worth it but i'm just looking at a normal rebuild then a simple I/H/E set-up... little kick and more life. Down the line will come my AEM underdrive pulleys, fuel rails, SR injectors. Then i say i'm done but thats all i can afford with my set budget i put aside for myself. Then i will save and blow more money later haha.
