No Thermostat

This may or may not be a dumb question , but what are the negatives to not having a thermostat installed ? I have a 92 Ka24de 240 5-Spd. and just tryin to figure out it if has any adverse effects cause I pulled mine out . I had 2 thermostasts go to sticking within 2 weeks and puled mine of and haven't put one back on , so if anyone knows of any problems it would cause please let me know .

Thanks in advance .

The ******* that i bought the car from decided to remove it and now i get ****ty gas mileage, my car runs too cold, and really rich which is really killing me with the prices of ****ing gas!!!!! I would advise getting Nissan Thermostat.. dont remove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm wondering because I've had mine out for a couple months now and it did start running worse when I did it . I heard somewhere it could cause it ro run rich and have an eratic idle . I was curious if these things are true before I go and put one in ?

Ok , I put in the thermostat and it ran even worse , so I went and bought some sea foam and ran that through the vaccuum lines to see if that made any difference . Slightly better , btu not by much . Soo I thought to myself it could be the timing . I decided to adjust the distributor timing . It took nearly forever to get it right , but now it runs super smooth . Anyone no what cause the little backfire like things from the exhaust ?
