Yeah that crossed my mind too . I have it timed as close as I can without a timing light . I guess I'll have to check that . I'll find my dad's timing light tomorrow or the next day and keep ya posted on the results.

if you haven't used a light, you haven't timed anything....

But who am i to talk....my timing is off and i have a cel code for Ignition timing misfire!

isn't there a wire or something to jump before we time our cars though??? It is supposed to turn the computer advance/retard off for the timing procedure....right??

Anyone know what to jump/disconect to time our cars?>

I believe it's the little plug that connects to your distributor that you have to take off . When I timed it I set it at TDC and pointed the rotor at the #1 cylinder terminal on the cap . So it should at least be really close .

prob not really close at all.

10 degrees is only moving the dizzy a LITTLE, but it is a BIG difference in performance.

Time your car with a gun and see what it was at....

wait wait wait... you mean to time the car i have to unplug the crank angle sensor (the "little plug on the distributor")? Unless im mistaken, that controls just about every part of the car's ignition. Even down to when the injectors fire. I dont know for sure, but i think its worth looking into.
