I took my thermostat because i had Problems with it ON. It overheated quickly with a few revs. After I took it off it ran the same but did not overheat. It runs a little cold but its ok. It kind of sucks in the winter though

I haven't flamed anyone untill now!!

A hole.

Search for my posts. I don't flame people. I state facts, and if i can, i'll answer one's questions.

I was only stating that it is a bad idea to run without a thermostat. Ask anyone who knows anything about cars......They'll tell you the same thing.....It is retarded to run without one.

So.... F U C K OFF *****. There. I have officially flamed someone....so start pointing the fingers now.......Happy???

Geez , a little testy eh ? This forum exists to share information and solve problems , not state that people who run wihtout thermostats are stupid . Some of us do it with good reason at the time . I took mine out because I was out of state with no money and it was sticking and it took a while before I noticed any adverse effects . i know you're not one to flame because I do read a lot of threads that yo post on , however if you don't have anything positive or helpful to add , PLEASE don't add anything at all .

I posted this before.

no thermostat on fuel injected vehicles= pure stupidity

And i'll post it again.

no thermostat on fuel injected vehicles= pure stupidity

that is my opinion, and many people would say its a fact. I didn't call you dumb, i just said the action of not using a thermostat(which cost 7 dollars autozone, or 14 dollars nissan(much better part) is that of pure stupidity.

Sorry if i offended anyone......with my helpfull opinion.

Ok sorry for calling you a flamer , no offense taken . I didn't really know it would cause probs . So is there any way to adjust the air/fuel ratio without an aftermarket adjuster and does anyone know the voltage the MAF shoudl read when it's working right ?

theres not really a way of adjusting the ration without a vafc or such items.

I suppose one could argue that getting a cold air intake will give you MORE and DENSER air, which would slightly affect the air/fuel ratio.

A fpr would also increase amount of fuel, but why????

However...Basically no.

Well I already have cold air intake already , but I seem to be running rich . I'm thinkin maybe my MAF might be screwed up so if anyone knows the voltage it's suppose to work at it'd be much appreciated

Yeah. You don't want to try to affect your air/f ratio to fix a damaged part.

If you truly are running rich, then you have a prob. somewhere.

I dont have the voltage your looking for, but it could be other things too.

First.

Do you have a CEL light on?
Secon, is your o2 sensor bad-no. 1 cause of faulty a/f ratio

or course your maf should be checked as you already know.
