Oil Leak on ka

So i was at My Girls house.. pulled into the shed and then backed out and found a moderate size oil puddle on the floor. This is just after i thought i heard a slight knock in the engine.... checked the oile and it didnt even hit the bottom of the dipstick... where could be the culprit, im hoping that it is like the ring on the oil filter that blew out cause that is easy. the engine has 270 thousand on it..... then my nexy question is if it is bad do i set the car and wait till i can get a engine swap in it thought about a ca18t or a ka24det. i am great with a wrench but if it means that i have to do a rear seal i might as well just rebuild and turbo the ka... does any one know of a good kit to rebuild the ka and make it turbo ready?

thanx Ty

Dunno about your oil leak but if you wanna go KA-T I have a good list of internals. I have a built KA sittng in my shop, just wish I had the cash for put the turbo on. Parents hit hard times so I put my car fund to supporting myself so that I'm not a drain on them.

My internals ran me just over 800 I think... The AMS kit is overpriced.

based on the description, a hole in the block sounds possible. or the knocking could be the result of no oil being circulated. with all those miles, oil leaks are fairly common around the main seals, oil pan, valve cover, timing chain cover, and just about any other place where oil flows. your engine is tired and want's to go home.

My Engine is tired too. Leaks a bunch of oil and now powersteering fluid. so no more power steering. Oh and now the radio doesnt work, and the AC/heat controls are messed up so i can only turn on fan, on either cool or hot. nothing else no feet warmth in the winter no defroster. It is the essence of the S13. and I still love it. lol still runs strong though. hahaha

The Internals I'm running are as follows (Off the top of my head)

Arias 8.8:1 Pistons (Bough from Arias, call them and work a deal)
Eagle ESP H-Beam Rods (Bought From Arias)
Cometic Head Gasket (Bought from Arias...Same deal at the others)
Clevite Bearings (Not sure where I bought them...Believe AMS)
ARP Head and Main Studs (Bought from AMS)
Gaskets, and timing equipment bought from Advance Auto Parts

Whole setup cost me in the range of 800-1000
