Okemo II Hillclimb

Well my second Okemo hillclimb run went really good.On friday was tech and registration. Saturday was practice and sunday we raced. The lenth of the course was 2.7 miles.
Saturday I put on my hoosiers for two runs before they told me to take them off, they were to soft for my class buy 10 treadwear, 40 verses 50. It ran so good with those tires on. Times didn't reflect it. Ran a 2:55 minutes. Not really good. Had alot left to give.First run of the weekend and trying to get use to the tires. So I had to switch to my street tires, they are rated at 480 treadwear.Really Really slippery.
On sunday we had four more runs. First run was a 2:57,second was a 2:56, third 2:54 and finally a 2:52. I was better than last time by 4 seconds. Part due to the lsd install and the rest by knowing more of the course.
I'm really happy with this time. I came last inclass but not last over all. The other two cars in my class was a vw golf that had the kumho 50 rated tire, his best time was a 2:46. The other car was a mini with 120 rated tire and his best time was a 2:51.Almost came in second. Both drivers have been racing this hill for at least5 years. Lots of experience. So I think I did really good for what I had. I know I had a little more to get, I was praying for one more run.Over all I was 29 out of 37. Three of wich did not start on sunday. I really like this hillclimbing thing. It's so much fun and off the hook, Better than any rollercoaster ride i,ve been on. We still have three more hills to do. The next one will be in two weeks. Oh yeah one of the drivers there said he had some kumho racing tires that I can have. Theyhave one or two more events on them I hope to win and put the 240sx in first place.Wish me luck. Later.
