hillclimb at mtn. okemo
Had a ton of fun today.This hillclimb was vary fast, but with vary good corners. The straightaway i went about 85 to 90mph.Just a vary fun hill. I'm in 32 out of 35.But me and the lotos was the only ones with street tires.I was running the mich with 420 tread. I had bought the hooisers but they are 40 tread and 50 was the limit.every body else in my class run the khumo racing tire and they are 50 tread. I had ran them at the other hillclimb and was asked to take them off.
Theres still tomorrow.Today was practice and your time counts tomorrow. We were able to do 4 runs. the first run was wet and foggy. It had rained untill 8 am. The other two were really good, it was wet in some spots, but the sun was out. I will try to update tomorrow or later in the week.

sunday was a great day. No rain.
These hillclimbs are lots of fun. My first run was ok, 3.02
The second run i did not finish. Something happen to the car.It died on me.To this day I have no reason why.
The third run I hit 2.59 and the fourth I hit 2.56.
I did come in last place, but I had really hard tires and most everybody else had racing tires. I looked at past times and as long as I had beaten 3.00 I ran really good.I hit 2.56 so I did good.First place time was 2.19 in a porshe 911 turbo all wheel drive.In my class there were three other cars. First place a lotos elise with a 2.40. Second was a vw golf gti with a 2.46 and third a mini copper with a 2.53. The lotos was fast(190hp and 1400 pounds) The vw had kuhmo racing tires and tons of experience.The mini had soft tires with tons of experience also.I was a rookie and didn't know the course well enough.
So overall I did really good for what I had and best of all had a blast. We will go back again in Aug. I hope to have better tires with a lsd.(really need it,spun tire out of every corner.)
