Overheating Problem

Well i had a wreck in my 240 about 2 weeks ago, started having overheating problems the next day, my radiator was bad so i replaced it. The wreck cracked my radiator overflow tank aswell. I just replaced my radiator and cap today, but im still having the same overheating problems, was wondering if anyone knows what this is. My next thought is the thermostat because the guage fluctuates so much. Any ideas would be of my appreciation

if its the gauge "flucuating" then it probabley is the therm. my cousin has the same problem. but if its boiling out of the overflow tank its your pump. does it go up really high and then drop...ect?

it gets hot the drops, but not much then overheats to where a hose is bout to blow. I was thinkin if it was the thermostat it would probably just overheat and never go down.

Mine did the same thing over flowed out the overflow and everything . I had a brand new radiator , thermostat and water pump on it . Turns out it was my thermostat sticking . I pulled out the thermostat and haven't had problems since , never bothered to put another thermostat either . It would get really got and then it would cool back off , then heat way up , then cool back off . Hope that helps.

Check FAQ's, I have one on overheating.

Take the t-stat out, fill it up with water and some coolant and see if the problem persists, if so than it's not the t-stat.

Check your wanter pump for leaks, it leaks when it's going back.
