- my ps has to come out. it leaks so much that i have to fill it every three days. My questions are: 1) i cant remove the belt because it runs the water pump, but when i plug the rack, is the pump going to whine if their is no fluid in it?
2) Can i buy a shorter belt so that i can remove the whole pump?

 

well you can get an electric waster pump or you can just cap all the ps stuff of..

put fluid in the pump and cap it off... i have been running my pump as the adjuster only for 5 years now no issues.

the reason you cant do a shorter belt is, you need an adjuster and that is the P/S pump
