hey guys I got a coolent leak right under the middle right of the firewall. do you guys have any idea what is leaking? I can't really trace back where the leaks from.

 

one of the heater hoses... either it is the one comming out of the back of the block or the one that is comming out of the manifold... there is also a smaller coolant hose that runs up by the egr valve on the manifold...

 

are they hard to reach?

 

depends on if you want to take the head off to make it easier or not... they are a pita to get to...

 

you can get a ka24e head off in about an 1-1 1/2 hours if you be careful... but you'll have to buy new gaskets... just make sure to labal all the vaccum lines if you go that route.
