yea...my passanger door doesnt open from the outside.

I took a look at it and seems like it should open...from wut i can tell all the parts are moving the way they should be...same movement as when i try to open it from the inside except that one bar moves vertically instead of horizontally but thats just cause of the position of handles...

any ideas on why it isn't opening? am i just overlooking something really stupid like a child safety lock?

 

did you bother checking the child safety lock?

This happened to my car when I first picked it up... everything "looked" fine and was moving fine, but you might want to trace each of the rods inside the door end to end... on my car one end of the rod wasn't attached to wherever it was supposed to be, thus the door wasn't opening from the outside. Use a small flashlight to help you peek inside the door frame.

 

is there a child safety lock???

I looked around my car doesnt seem to have one...where is the switch to turn it on or off?

 

my s14 did the same thing, the way i fixed mine was (believe it or not) act like i unlock it with the key and "trick" it into think i was unlocking it, it seemed to act as though it was locked and that helped, then the almighty nissan fixed itself......what a strange world.....

wow i never thought of that....for some reason im able to pull a ka24e out of a s13...but turning the key was just too much for me......



btw...they key unlocks the door...still wont open...
