Picked up #2

This morning I picked up my second 240sx. It is a 90, yes a 5-speed, and it already has an SR in it. I know, you can be jealous now. I picked it up for $3,000+registration and crap. The engine only has about 40,000(estimated) miles on it.

I HAVE BOOST!

Nope. He had just put on a new exhaust system and a new header. He said to replace the a/c if i plan on using it. I am not as this will be my weekend warrior. He said to call him if I have any problems, and he is holding the money for a week incase I want to return it.

I drove it and everyone could hear the BOV and they were like, 'I think your car is hissing'.

ohhh and about the engine having 40k miles... thats bull**** just like every other vendor that sells motors and says they have 40k miles on them... lets be realistic... open her up and see if it is only 40k miles... reguardless the sr should hold up a good beating and miles are not such a big topic to be considering....

Actually, he said between 40k-70k lol. He admitted he didn't know the acurate miles. He got it with '40k'(lol, that's what they told him). And they kid needed to sell it for college.

the dude coulda got WAY more than 3K, you got on hell of a deal, he definately lost on that one. Did he do it himself or was it done professionally?
Oh, and if anyone asks what the hissing is, tell them it's the flux capacator going bad.

Does the car look like it was painted with spray cans?

Was the guy who sold it to you a doper named Tomas?

This car sounds very familiar.

yeah, I always wondered that, no matter where you get your clip from what i've seen they all have an estimate on milage, say ~40K. You run the risk of getting the engine with double, or run the risk of being the engine some joe schmo tore the crap out of.

True, but on these motors 40k or 100k won't be much different in terms of engine wear.

Plus, if you're gonna build it that won't matter anyway.
